Information about this portfolio and the personal information used when you browse it or get in touch.
Who operates this site
This portfolio is operated by Lucas Dailly, an independent 3D artist and graphic designer based in Ontario, Canada, working under his own name. Services are available to businesses and individuals.
Lucas Dailly is responsible for the personal information handled for his freelance activity. Use the contact button below for project inquiries, privacy questions, access requests or complaints.
Project inquiries
This site presents creative work and provides a way to make contact. It has no checkout, online payment, user account, newsletter or contact form. Clicking an email button opens your own email application; a message is only sent when you send it.
A paid project is discussed separately. Its scope, deliverables, fees, payment schedule, usage rights and any applicable cancellation conditions must be set out in the project agreement before work begins. This page does not replace that agreement or limit mandatory consumer rights.
Information and purposes
When you contact Lucas: your email address, name, message and any attachments you choose to send are received through Gmail. They are used to answer your request, discuss a quote and, if agreed, manage the project. Please share only information relevant to your request.
When you browse: the hosting and media providers receive the technical information needed for web requests, such as an IP address, browser information and the requested resource. These services support delivery, reliability and security.
Traffic statistics: No additional advertising pixel or analytics library has been added to this portfolio.
Preferences, cookies and videos
The site uses your browser’s local storage to remember the language and day/night mode you select. These two preferences stay on your device until you clear the site’s browser data; the portfolio does not send their stored values to an analytics service.
Some videos are embedded from Vimeo and can load when they become visible. The player uses Vimeo’s Do Not Track setting to limit session analytics. Vimeo states that security cookies may still be set and previously stored Vimeo cookies may be sent by your browser. This is not a cookie-free guarantee.
Your browser lets you manage cookies, third-party content and stored site data. Blocking a provider may prevent its videos or images from appearing. See Vimeo’s player-cookie information.
Hosting and external services
Hostinger hosts this portfolio. Vimeo delivers embedded videos, and Adobe Behance delivers some project images. Those providers receive web requests when their content loads. Google / Gmail handles messages sent to the contact address.
These services may process information outside Canada, where different laws and lawful access rules may apply. No specific hosting country or international-transfer mechanism is promised here. You can contact Lucas for information about the arrangements applicable to your request.
LinkedIn and Behance profile links take you to separate websites. Their privacy notices apply when you visit them.
Reasons for processing
Contact information is used for the purpose for which you provide it. Where the GDPR applies, responding to a requested quote or carrying out your commission relies on steps toward a contract or performance of that contract. General business correspondence and the security of this portfolio rely on the legitimate interests of responding to inquiries and operating a reliable service, subject to your rights. Legal record-keeping relies on applicable legal obligations.
Keeping information
Correspondence is kept only for as long as needed to answer the inquiry, manage an agreed project, meet applicable record-keeping duties or resolve a dispute. The relevant criteria are whether the request or project is still active and whether a legal retention period applies. Records that are no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised.
Provider-controlled technical logs, statistics and security cookies have their own retention arrangements. Browser preferences can be removed by clearing this site’s stored data. Contact Lucas if you need details about information connected with you.
Your privacy choices and rights
You can contact Lucas to request access to, or correction of, personal information held about you. Depending on the laws that apply, you may also request deletion, restriction or a portable copy, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent for a use based on consent. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations. Sufficient information to verify a request may be required.
You can raise a concern directly with Lucas and may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or another competent privacy regulator. If GDPR rights apply, you can also contact the relevant European supervisory authority.
